Oklahomas Independence 250 Heritage
July 4th, 2026 was the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, 250 years ago. I hope that all the readers of the Oklahoma Constitution had a good Independence Day. Two hundred and fifty years is a quarter-millennium, making the USA the 23rd oldest nation-state in the world. Oklahoma was not one of the 13 English Colonies that became the USA, so we don’t have Revolutionary War battlefields in Oklahoma.
In ten days, the 2026 World Cup will start at Azteca Stadium
The 2026 World Cup is almost upon us. It’s scheduled to begin on June 11th and end on July 19th. The World Cup is the international soccer championship in which national teams compete. It’s held every 4 years. For the first time ever, the World Cup is to be hosted by three countries: the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Mexico has hosted the World Cup twice before (1970 and 1986) and the U.S. once before, in 1994. In 2002, the World Cup was jointly hosted by Japan and South Korea.
The Oklahoma Race for Governor and the E-Verify Question
It’s 2026 and gubernatorial elections are being held in 36 states, including Oklahoma. There are fifteen candidates are running for governor in Oklahoma. Some aren’t famous and don’t stand much of a chance. But even if you lose, running for office raises your profile and may lead to future opportunities.
State Rep. Jim Shaws Save Oklahoma Plan
In the August 2024 Republican primary runoff in House District 32 in central Oklahoma, political neophyte Jim Shaw upset incumbent Kevin Wallace. There was no Democrat candidate, so Shaw won the seat. At over $1.4 million, it was the most expensive race in the history of the Oklahoma House.
Happy Hunting with McGirt V. Oklahoma
A decision of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) can have a life of its own. It may take years to develop, moving into various nooks and crannies of the law, in ways the Justices never foresaw nor intended. McGirt v. Oklahoma, a 2020 ruling by SCOTUS continues to spread its wings and is now moving into hunting and game law. McGirt and the companion case Sharp v. Murphy, were decided in 2020, both based on 1990s criminal cases.
Mainstream Media Pumping Illegal Alien Sob Stories to Discredit Trump Crackdown — Don't Fall for Them - Border Hawk
After eight months back in the White House, President Donald Trump has deported 400,000 illegal aliens while 1.6 million have self-deported, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Meanwhile, the mainstream media churns out an unending stream of sob stories portraying sympathetic illegal aliens being arrested or deported. The goal is to make Americans feel guilty about all this detention and deportation and thus wear down support for it. Let’s look at the big picture.
Two Million Illegal Aliens Out of the US in 8 Months; Mexico Adjusts
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced in a press release on September 23rd, 2025, that since January 20th (Trump’s inauguration) 2 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. or been deported. That is a substantial number.
After Five Years, the McGirt Case Continues to Complicate
The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2020 McGirt Decision resulted in most of eastern Oklahoma being declared Indian reservation land. According to the McGirt doctrine, Tulsa is all reservation land. Most of it is supposedly on the Muscogee (Creek) tribal reservation with part of it on the Cherokee reservation. In June, Tulsa’s Mayor Monroe Nichols announced an agreement with the Muscogee (Creek) tribe in which the city of Tulsa pledges not to bring charges against American Indians in the city.
Five Reasons Why Non-English Speaking Truck Drivers Threaten American Lives
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on March 1 designating English as the official language of the United States. Yes, that’s right. We’ve been speaking English since colonial times, but nobody got around to this until Trump. Congratulations! That doesn’t mean we should be against other languages, or that Americans shouldn’t study them. Actually, more Americans should study foreign languages. In my day job, I’m a Spanish teacher in a public school, but that’s a separate matter.
The McGirt Mess Who Can Fix It?
Is the metropolis of Tulsa on Indian reservation land? It sounds ridiculous, but thanks to the wisdom of our national Supreme Court, since 2020, Tulsa has been regarded as reservation land, part of it on the Muscogee (Creek) reservation and part of it on the Cherokee reservation. It sounds ridiculous and it is. McGirt v. Oklahoma, and its companion case Sharp v. Murphy, were decided in 2020, both based on 1990s criminal cases. Jimcy McGirt was a child molester and Patrick Murphy a murderer.

Think Nationally, Act Locally
Following the biggest comeback in American political history, Donald J. Trump is taking office again. Trump is only the second man in history to win a second non-consecutive term in the White House. Should Illegal Aliens in Oklahoma Get a Special Drivers License?
Should illegal aliens in the state receive a special driver’s license? That’s the recommendation of an official state labor task force commissioned by our esteemed Governor Kevin Stitt. As I explained in my previous article (Mexican Meddling in Oklahoma (OK Constitution, Summer 2024 edition), Governor Stitt hesitated to, but finally signed House Bill 4156, an anti-illegal alien bill. But he simultaneously set up a labor task force which sabotages the very bill which he signed into law.

Fewer Americans Dining in Tijuana: So Restaurants Going Bankrupt
by Allan Wall Tijuana is a Mexican border city on the far west end of Mexico, across the border from San Diego, California. Approximately 500 Mexicans have fled into Guatemala to get away from the violence.

Debunking John Oliver's Claim That There Is "No Migrant Crime Wave"
HBO talk show host John Oliver recently covered the ‘migrant crime crisis’ spoken about at great length during the RNC. He claimed this issue is only relevant due to “relentless, bad-faith fearmongering by the Republican Party,” and asserted the term “migrant crime” is a recent creation of Fox News. “To be very clear, there is no migrant crime wave happening right now,” Oliver stated explicitly.

Senator J.D. Vance Questions Fed Chairman Jerome Powell On The Relationship Between Mass Immigration, Wages, and Housing Prices | Blog Posts
Vance’s remarks come after former President Donald Trump told a crowd in Arizona last month that mass immigration greatly impacts housing prices for Americans. “Housing costs are skyrocketing, absolutely skyrocketing, because we have 15 million new migrants. We have no place to put them,” Trump said. “We have no place to put them, and that number is growing so that we have absolutely no place.” Vance is considered a top vice presidential contender for Trump.
Mexico's Electoral Affirmative Action Program For Women Gamed By Regular Mexican Guys Claiming To Be Trans | Blog Posts

There are also affirmative action positions for homosexuals and transgender candidates. And racial minorities. On the other hand, Mexicans have a real talent for gaming the system. That’s what some candidates in the state of Michoacan did.

It was a great trip. We passed through various ecosystems with plenty of impressive scenery.

Spinach Harvester Makes Hand Labor Obsolete | Blog Posts
For years, the supposed need for more and more agricultural workers has been a great justification for illegal labor. You know, the ”doing work Americans won’t do” and ”crops rotting in the fields” arguments. But there’s this process called mechanization which keeps advancing. Wheat farming in America has been mechanized since the 19th century, so it’s been hard to justify illegal labor on wheat farms.
