Allison Michaels is a Travel Editor at U.S. News & World Report, whose work focuses on destination, vacation and hotel rankings.
Previously, Allison was a reporter in the D.C. bureau of Capital News Service and an editorial assistant at the American Journalism Review. She has also worked at the Washington City Paper, Mediabistro.com, NPR’s Michigan Radio, and AnnArbor.com.
Allison earned a master’s degree in multi-platform journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. She holds an undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Michigan.
Between degrees, Allison spent two years working in communications as resident media maven for a nonprofit arts and culture center in Washington, D.C.
