As relevant as social media is, I still believe solid journalism should be at the foundation of how we receive news.

Read and write as much as possible...practice makes perfect.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

Visiting Myanmar as part of a group of the first group of international journalists to enter the country in many years.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Make-up remover.

What's your favorite drink?

Chianti Classico, as I lived in Tuscany for many years.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
