Abu Dhabi residents, listen up: this is big news. Abu Dhabi has pressed pause on rent rises until further notice, with rent being frozen on both new leases and renewals. In a statement released on Tuesday June 2, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre has told landlords and property managers to keep rent at the same level as the last contract, with no increase allowed for renewals or new contracts on previously rented units. The move applies across residential, commercial and industrial leases.
