How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
By email, generally.

Adobe InCopy, Google Docs, DevonThink Pro Office, Twitter, Firefox, various Macs

Why did you become a journalist?
To meet interesting people. To get clever people to tell me things I didn't know and wanted to find out.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, wrote accounts of various summer placements I did. All very boring.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
You don't need anyone's permission to start writing. So, start writing. Preferably yesterday.
