Student food insecurity is now a major issue on most campuses of the California State University (CSU). Alica Bedore knows a great deal about this subject—in part because she knows a great deal about CalFresh, the federally funded program that helps low-income people buy the food they need for good health. In fact, Bedore focused her master’s degree on the eligibility of Chico State students for CalFresh benefits.
