Amal Chandra

As an author, policy analyst, political commentator, and columnist, Amal possesses a deep interest in research, public policy, governance, social exclusion, public relations, and political communication. His professional affiliations include serving as a Member of the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) and chairing the Research and Development Vertical at the All India Professionals' Congress (AIPC) in Kerala. He also contribute to Research and Public Affairs at the Office of Dr. Shashi Tharoor, a Member of Parliament, and serves as the National Coordinator (East) for the Students for Liberty (SFL). His previous experiences include being a YL Fellow at the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) in collaboration with the Atlas Network (USA), a Research Associate to Adv. Dean Kuriakose (MP) in New Delhi, and the NSUI General Secretary i/c Organisation at Pondicherry Central University. He has made significant academic contributions, including publishing a book titled "The Essential" with a Foreword by former Union Minister for External Affairs Adv. Salman Khurshid in 2023 and authoring peer-reviewed content on politics, economics, society, and policy. His Op-Eds have been featured in dailies, and articles have appeared on esteemed platforms like the Indian Journal of Public Administration (IJPA) and Sage. Extensive travel across all Indian states, Sri Lanka and Nepal has broadened his perspective and enriched my understanding of diverse socio-political landscapes.
