Amanda Staveley and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi's PCP Capital Partners have made an offer to buy a 25.1 per cent stake in West Ham. Sky News' Mark Kleinman broke the news on Thursday that the couple were preparing a bid for a share that belongs to the family of the late David Gold. That offer has now gone in. UEFA have hit out at FIFA's plans to sell stakes linked to the World Cup to private investors. On Tuesday, FIFA released a detailed statement outlining plans to launch a new commercial company as it targets $10bn-plus (£7.5bn) development funding. FIFA says it could deliver more than $10bn in football development funding over the next four years through the creation of a new commercial subsidiary, subject to approval from its member associations.

Leeds United are close to agreeing a club-record deal with Manchester City for goalkeeper James Trafford. Sky Sports News understands that the proposed transfer for the England international is understood to be worth at least £40m plus add-ons, which is a record for an English goalkeeper. Leeds' previous record-signing was Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim for around £35.5m in January 2023.
