No. 11 Mid Takes Down Muskegon
MUSKEGON, Mich. – The No. 11 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team earned a dominant 108-62 victory at Muskegon on Wednesday night. James Wright led Mid (23-3, 12-0 MCCAA North) with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Amonti Greene posted 25 points, and De'Antre Griffin had 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Jaden Clark chipped in 7 points, while Gage Coonan, Jordan Chandler, and Vynce Overshown each scored 6 points.
Greene's 28 Leads Lakers Past Montcalm
SIDNEY, Mich. – Amonti Greene scored a career high 28 points to lead the No. 14 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team to a 96-73 MCCAA North victory over Montcalm on Wednesday (Feb. 5) night. Reigning MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week Joe Iung added 18 points for the Lakers (19-3, 8-0 MCCAA North). De'Antre Griffin and Jayden Hardiman posted 11 points each, while Griffin pulled down seven rebounds and Hardiman had six.
Mid Takes Down Bay, Finishes First Half 7-0
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Joe Iung scored 24 points on 7-of-10 shooting, and the Mid Michigan College men's basketball team defeated Bay College 113-97 on Saturday afternoon at Morey Courts. The Lakers (18-3, 7-0 MCCAA North) finished the first half of conference play undefeated, and took a two game lead over the second place Norse (16-5, 5-2 MCCAA North). Iung added three assists and three steals, while Vynce Overshown had 21 points off the bench.
Lakers Defeat Jayhawks
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – James Wright and Amonti Greene scored 21 points each, and led the No. 17 Mid Michigan College men's basketball squad to a 109-77 victory over Muskegon on Wednesday (Jan. 29) night at Morey Courts. Wright also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lakers (17-3, 6-0 MCCAA North) and was 8-of-10 from the field. De'Antre Griffin added 19 points for Mid on 6-of-12 shooting. Greene also added four assists. Joe Russau led the Jayhawks (10-9, 2-3 MCCAA North) with 31 points and 12 rebounds.
Lakers Defeat Alpena 96-62
ALPENA, Mich. – The No. 19 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team extended their winning streak to 13 on Saturday with a 96-62 victory on the road at Alpena. Mid is now 15-3 overall and 5-0 in MCCAA Northern Conference play. James Wright scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Amonti Greene had 20 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. De'Antre Griffin and Joe Iung added 11 points each, while Vynce Overshown posted 12 points off the bench.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – After rolling to their 11th straight victory on Saturday at Kirtland, the No. 23 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team (14-3, 3-0 MCCAA North) will play a pair of conference games this week. The Lakers will host Delta on Wednesday (Jan. 22) at 7:30 PM from Morey Courts, before traveling to Alpena to take on the Lumberjacks at 3:00 PM Saturday (Jan. 25). SCOUTING THE PIONEERS: Delta enters Wednesday night with a 6-10 overall record and 1-2 mark in conference play.
Lakers Win 11th Straight, Down Kirtland
GRAYLING, Mich. – The No. 23 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team (14-3, 3-0) earned their 11th straight win on Saturday (Jan. 18), defeating host Kirtland College 125-86 in a MCCAA Northern Conference battle. All five Laker starters reached double figures led by Amonti Greene with 23 points and eight assists. James Wright had 21 points and five rebounds. De'Antre Griffin and Jayden Hardiman added 12 points each, while Joe Iung posted 11 points and recorded five steals.
