Amy Kraft’s Biography

I am a print and radio journalist based in New York City. I’m a contributing producer to TheWeek.com’s audiophiles and a regular contributor to Scientific American’s 60-Second Science. My print and audio work has appeared in Discover, The Ascender, Popular Science, Scientific American, New Scientist, Psychology Today, Making Contact and Distillations, a podcast out of the Chemical Heritage Foundation.

I hold degrees from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and the University of Illinois at Chicago. I studied French at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier, France, and at the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle.

In my spare time I take improv and acting classes and I write humor essays, which you can read in xojane.com and on my blog, Jaded Bride. I am currently working on a book of humor essays.
