Yes! I love typewriters. I learned to type using my grandfather Charles Scribner's Underwood

Blox CMS (and other CMS), the Microsoft Office Suite of course, social media, the Adobe Creative suite
Why did you become a journalist?
I am fascinated by the human condition and by individual stories. I want to learn more about life and share it with others so that we grow
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Our high school was too small to have a newspaper. I started out by freelancing for a local free press publication when I was an undergrad
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
When I was an arts and culture features writer, I received a lot of tone deaf pitches. The funniest was for a product called Tush Lights.
What's your favorite drink?
I love an adventurous cocktail, but nothing beats a truly well-made Old Fashioned
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love reading the New Yorker; the depth and breadth of research and the attendant insights are so compelling
