Risk factors for surgical site infections after orthopaedic surgery: A meta‐analysis and systematic review
1 INTRODUCTION Orthopaedic surgeons have long faced challenges due to postoperative surgical site infections (SSIs), which pose significant problems for both patients and healthcare providers in the field of orthopaedics.1 Within the realm of orthopaedic surgery, SSIs are defined as infections that manifest within 30 days post-surgery, in cases where no fixation device is implanted, or within 1-year post-surgery if a metal device remains implanted.2 SSIs can be categorized based on the...
The Diagnostic Value of Artificial Intelligence in C‐TIRADS 4-5 Nodules, Real‐Time Dynamic Ultrasound and Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound to Enhance the Difference Between Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and Nodular Goiter - You - Journal of Clinical Ultrasound
1 Introduction Thyroid nodules are a common clinical finding, with their prevalence varying based on the detection method and population studied (Uppal et al. 2023). Physical examination detects thyroid nodules in 5%–7% of individuals, while ultrasound reveals rates as high as 20%–76%, with approximately 5%–10% being malignant (Wang, Ou, et al. 2022; Grani et al. 2020). Among malignant thyroid tumors, papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common, accounting for about 80% of cases (Su et al.

Optical response and multi-exciton effects in 2D PTCDA aggregates with local excitation
Optical response and multi-exciton effects in 2D PTCDA aggregates with local excitation 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic-dianhydride (PTCDA) aggregates have unique optical properties and are model materials for studying exciton energy transfer (EET) in planar stacked molecular aggregates. In the framework of density matrix theory, a hierarchy of molecular transition operator expectation values could be constructed to derive the equations of motion of multi-exciton states.
Ultrafast multiexciton dynamics in molecular systems: Inclusion of exciton-exciton annihilation
Abstract We report simulations of exciton-exciton annihilation (EEA) in dye molecular aggregates with explicit laser pulse excitation in the framework of reduced density matrix theory. We use a supramolecular complex model Hamiltonian, in which each monomer of an aggregate is described by three electronic levels. An expectation value approximation is used to avoid the large amount of matrix elements for various exciton configuration distributions in molecular aggregates.

Lighthouse | Short Story
I sat up in the canoe and saw the moon hanging large in the sky; the light seemed to drip down like drops of water. The sea breeze rushed past and my cold body couldn’t help but shiver. I slowly exhaled a heavy breath and rubbed my eyes with the backs of my hands, maybe too hard; tears almost came out. I looked up at the moon, so round in the sky. Beneath it, there was a thin silhouette in the light. That was my destination. The canoe rested against a simple pier at the lighthouse.
How intelligent will AI get? - Huawei Publications
A survey in 2013 by Vincent C. Müller and Nick Bostrom asked hundreds of scientists when they believe machines will achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI), meaning human-level intelligence. The median years for 10, 50, and 90 percent probability of reaching AGI were 2022, 2040, and 2075, respectively. But, there are still many challenges to reaching human-level intelligence. The first is domain limitation.
