What was your first job as a journalist?

Why did you become a journalist?
I always wanted to be a journalist, I am passionate about writing stories about the daily lives of the human beings around me. At first I tried to change the terrible burden of Cuban journalism from within, but upon understanding the impossibility of my efforts I decided to become an independent journalist and combat the lack of freedoms that my country experiences.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, in Cuba we don't have that amazing system
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be true to yourself even if that means go against an entire goverment

In the morning
What's the best pitch you ever got?
To write something nice about the cuban dictator Fidel Castro after his death.
