Electrostatic interactions in nucleosome and higher-order structures are regulated by protonation state of histone ionizable residue
Abstract The nucleosome serves as the fundamental unit of chromatin organization, with electrostatic interactions acting as the driving forces in the folding of nucleosomes into chromatin. Perturbations in cellular pH conditions can lead to changes in the protonation states of titratable histone residues, impacting nucleosome surface electrostatic potentials and interactions.
The Green Flexible Job-Shop Scheduling Problem Considering Cost, Carbon Emissions, and Customer Satisfaction under Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing
1. Introduction The flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP) is essentially about efficiently managing a sequence of jobs using a specific number of machines []. Each job comprises multiple operations, and each operation can be executed on several machines [].

Evaluation of DNA-protein complex structures using the deep learning method
Evaluation of DNA-protein complex structures using the deep learning method Biological processes such as transcription, repair, and regulation require the interactions between DNA and proteins. To unravel their functions, it is imperative to determine the high-resolution structures of DNA-protein complexes. However, experimental methods for this purpose are costly and technically demanding.
Frontiers | Mechanical response of masonry structure strengthened with ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC): a comparative analysis for different strengthening tactics
1 Introduction Brick and stone are the most commonly used building materials (Babaeidarabad et al., 2014). Statistically, more than 70% of buildings worldwide are masonry structures built of brick and stone (Marthys and Noland, 1989). Masonry structures are typical anisotropic materials. In the direction of horizontal and vertical mortar joints, its mechanical properties are clearly distinguished, with high compressive strength and poor tensile and shear strengths.

Experimental study of high temperature on the shear properties of early-age concrete
1 Introduction Fire has been one of the major threats to the safety of buildings. The mechanical properties of concrete after fire have become one of the research hotspots (Nadeem et al., 2014; Khan and Abbas, 2015; Laim et al., 2022). Fire accidents happen randomly and many of them happen during the construction period of concrete buildings. For example, a large fire accident happen in a reinforced concrete building in Wuhan, China only after 3 days of concreting (Wang et al., 2022).
Dynamic geometry design of cyclic peptides architectures for RNA structure
Dynamic geometry design of cyclic peptides architectures for RNA structure Designing inhibitors for RNA is still challenging due to the bottleneck of maintaining the binding interaction of inhibitor-RNA accompanied by subtle RNA flexibility. Thus, the current approach usually needs to screen thousands of candidate inhibitors for binding. Here, we propose one dynamic geometry design approach to enrich the hits with only a tiny pool of designed geometrically compatible scaffold candidates.
