Interview

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means knowing the power the pen holds, and using that for good - to amplify voices which deserve to be heard.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. For all its downsides, it's a dream network for any journalist.

Who do you wish followed you?

There are so many people who inspire me from all walks of life - but at the moment, I think AOC takes the crown.

Why did you become a journalist?

To shed light on the innumerable and rampant injustices around the world, and to investigate under-reported issues.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was one of the chief editors of my secondary school magazine.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

It's a tough call between my commemoration piece for The Indy on Stonewall's 50th anniversary, and my op-ed on the EU settled status scheme.
