¿Por qué el mundo dedica un día a la seguridad del paciente?
Detrás de cada tratamiento y cada medicamento existe una expectativa fundamental: que aquello que busca ayudarnos a recuperar la salud sea seguro y funcione como se espera. Esa confianza tiene un nombre: seguridad del paciente. Y, por su importancia, tiene también un día en el calendario que nos recuerda que cuidar bien significa, ante todo, cuidar de forma segura.
Un mosquito diminuto, un riesgo enorme… pero prevenible
A veces, las mayores amenazas para la salud son también las más difíciles de percibir. Mientras solemos preocuparnos por los riesgos más evidentes, existe uno que zumba a nuestro alrededor, entra y sale de nuestras casas y con frecuencia pasa desapercibido: el mosquito. Cada 20 de agosto, el Día Mundial del Mosquito nos invita a reflexionar sobre el impacto de estos insectos, más allá de la molestia que representan en la vida cotidiana.
