Christuskirche and the shadow of genocide in Namibia
As Namibia commemorates the second Genocide Remembrance Day, the solemn occasion once again casts a spotlight on one of the darkest chapters in the country’s history – the genocide committed against the Ovaherero and Nama communities during German colonial rule between 1904 and 1908. Every year, descendants of the Ovaherero and Nama communities honour the memory of thousands who were massacred and dispossessed of their land during the war of resistance against German colonial forces.

Further Insights Into the Metabolism of LGD‐4033 in Human Urine. Part 1. Structure Elucidation of Additional Important Metabolites
1 Introduction LGD-4033 (also known as Ligandrol) is a non-steroidal Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM) that is frequently detected during sports drug testing [1], despite its inclusion in the prohibited list [2] of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), due to its promising anabolic effects [3, 4]. It is extensively metabolized in the human body and the general structures of its long-term metabolites (M1–M6, Figure 1) have been described in the literature [6-10].
Further Insights Into the Metabolism of LGD-4033 in Human Urine. Part 2. A New Minor Metabolite With Antagonistic Activity on the Androgen Receptor Can Indicate Recent Substance Intake
ABSTRACT Using a targeted metabolic investigation approach, a new, previously undescribed metabolite, which is a pyrrole derivative of LGD-4033, has been detected and coded as M8. This metabolite can be detected in postadministration human urine samples up to 6?days after administration. It has also been detected in post-administration samples, mimicking supplement contamination, after repeated 10??g doses detectable for ≥?120?h after administration.

Simplified Analysis of Native Steroid Esters in Dried Blood Spots by LC-MS3
1 Introduction The detection of anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) in sports drug testing remains an important and critical component of anti-doping efforts worldwide. Traditionally, urine has served as the primary biological matrix for the detection of steroid abuse; however, alternative matrices such as dried blood spots (DBS) are gaining traction due to their minimally invasive sampling, ease of transport and potential for improved analyte stability [1].

Investigations Into the Urinary Metabolite Elimination Profile of the Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator S‐23 in Studies Mimicking Contaminated Product Ingestion for Doping Control Purposes
1 Introduction Anabolic agents are the most frequently detected prohibited drugs in professional sports (WADA 2024a). One class of substances known as SARMs has been showing a growing prevalence since 2014 (I. V. Efimenko et al. 2021; WADA 2024a). Their popularity is further fueled through social media and online marketing including largely unsubstantiated health claims, as indicated by investigations into online research trends concerning SARMs (I. V. Efimenko et al. 2021; Hahamyan et al.

Gender Diversity is Essential in Political Commentary
I have worked in many major newsrooms in Namibia as both an editor and a journalist. Editors and journalists regularly engage in ongoing debates – occasionally intense – concerning a dependence on a select group of commentators. News consumers have grown accustomed to political and social pundits such as Ndumba Kamwanyah, Rui Tyitende and Graham Hopwood, to name a few, as well as economic experts like Mally Likukela, all of whom are male.
