Andreea Vîlcu

I started my journey in journalism in 2018, in an independent media outlet (Decât o Revistă), where I learned what narrative journalism looks and how a newsroom works, experienceing almost every roles. In 2020 I graduated from the Faculty of Journalism in Bucharest, and after four and a half years in the DoR editorial team, I joined the Libertatea in February 2023.

Also, in 2023, I won the Jury Prize at the Superscrieri Gala for my personal essay "Să fii sărac e o rușine", in which I talked about what it means to grow up in a vulnerable environment with limited resources and domestic violence.
