By Jim Fenton BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The last time the Bridgewater State University football team had celebrated an opening-day victory was back in 2018. The Bears edged Buffalo State by a point to begin that year, then lost six consecutive season openers to Ithaca and MIT (twice each), Morrisville State and Curry College. That frustrating streak came to an end on Saturday afternoon when BSU jumped right into the win column.
