Yes. So much fun, but what a steep learning curve.
How is social media changing news?
It's changing the dynamic between news outlets and consumers. We must adapt and embrace it rather than ignore it.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
ChatGPT, Google, iPhone, and a pen and paper.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No. In high school, I was more interested in reading than I was writing.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My piece on Casa Lotos Sotol. Getting to tell the story of the head distiller hailing from Mexico was a humbling and exciting experience.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's all free meals and drinks. So much work goes into understanding the nuances of flavors, brand strategies, and culinary vision.
