First? The Huguenot Herald (HS paper). First real paper? The Journal News. First to pay me? The Michigan Daily in college.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Digital voice recorder and laptop as far as technology. Otherwise a pen and a pad.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love to write and enjoy telling stories and talking to experts in their field.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Even though it might be fun, it's still a job, meaning you still have to work hard and take it seriously.
