I am a freelance journalist with an interest in obscure, overlooked subjects, particularly within the realm of climate change, culture, and sport. I have reported on discovering waves in Oman, the dying Salton Sea, and the ongoing unrest in Venezuela, as well as worked on films and with New York Times bestselling authors as a researcher. I am a member of the International Federation of Journalists and a 2015 graduate of the Columbia University Graduate Nonfiction Writing program. Currently, I’m writing a book about my rural American hometown, where portions of the community are facing relocation due to Superstorm Sandy and the rising sea.
