Absolutely. In college and beyond.

I write for a print magazine that also publishes online. "Timeliness" really can't be a condition for deciding what to cover.

I'll go with Clark Kent.

I want to honestly and entertainingly communicate my experiences to others.

Why did you become a journalist?
Music is something I care deeply about. Writing about it gives that sense of participation I had when I was much younger.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story about a Philadelphia musician who, through technology, is finding a way to preserve the methods of America's most important flutist.
When's the best time to pitch you?
In the evening. When I'm not at my day job.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In front of my audio system. Which does involve a computer...
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That evaluating new recordings and fancy audio gear isn't actually hard work.
