The best pitch I ever received came from a small tech startup that had developed an innovative battery cooling solution for electric vehicles (EVs). What's the most common misperception about your beat?

One of the most common misperceptions about the automotive beat is that it's solely about cars, their specs, and reviews. While those are certainly vital components, the automotive industry is a vast landscape encompassing technology, design, cultural influences, environmental impacts, and economic shifts, among other topics. It's as much about understanding societal trends and shifts in mobility as it is about horsepower or torque figures. The automotive world is evolving rapidly, especially with the advent of electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and shared mobility, making it a rich and multifaceted domain to cover.
