Andrew Lake’s Biography

Andrew Lake is a recent graduate who has begun building his career in commercial real estate with patience and focus. He serves as a Research and Development Manager at his family’s development firm, where he analyzes market conditions, reviews commercial trends, and evaluates projects in Pittsburgh and South Florida. His work also includes identifying possible investment paths and supporting decisions with careful analysis. He approaches these responsibilities with a practical mindset and a willingness to keep learning as he grows in the field.

Andrew developed a strong academic foundation through his college studies in entrepreneurship with a concentration in finance. During his time at a public university in Florida, he earned a scholarship that recognized his academic performance as an out-of-state student. He also stayed involved outside the classroom through a fraternity, where he took on leadership duties and helped guide fundraising efforts for cancer-related causes. Those experiences strengthened his sense of responsibility, service, and commitment to working well with others.

Andy Lake demonstrated discipline early in life by balancing academics, athletics, and personal growth. In middle school, he earned honor roll recognition, and that early consistency carried into high school. As a student-athlete, he took part in football, basketball, and lacrosse while continuing to meet classroom expectations. His efforts earned him several scholar-athlete honors over the years. He graduated with a solid GPA and was also recognized as a lacrosse scholarship finalist.

Lake also built his character through experiences that went beyond school and sports. At a summer camp centered on athletics and leadership, he was often noticed for his positive attitude, steady work ethic, and ability to encourage those around him. Counselors and peers saw him as someone who competed seriously while still supporting teammates and younger participants. That environment helped shape his view of leadership as something grounded in example, humility, and consistency rather than attention or status.

Andrew Lake gained meaningful professional experience at a young age through an internship with a quality systems registrar in Pennsylvania. There, he completed an intensive training program and earned an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate in quality system management, becoming the youngest person in that company’s history to do so. He took part in audits for multiple clients and learned how organizations improve processes and maintain standards. He also helped improve communication between customers and an internal scheduling team, which added to his practical business experience.

Andrew strengthened his skills further through additional roles in customer-facing environments. Work in both retail and restaurant settings helped him improve his communication, problem-solving, and service mindset in fast-paced situations. Alongside that experience, he built useful technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and foundational knowledge of Python. He also speaks basic Spanish. These abilities may come from different areas of his life, but together they reflect a steady effort to become more capable, adaptable, and effective in both professional and everyday settings.

Andy Lake values service, family, and personal growth alongside his career goals. He has volunteered with an organization that gives children with mental and physical disabilities the chance to enjoy baseball in an inclusive setting. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews, and shares interests in golf, basketball, and football with his siblings. He also enjoys travel, fishing, food, and aviation. Looking ahead, he plans to earn his commercial real estate license and continue pursuing opportunities in South Florida.
