Essential Phone Price Has Been Cut Permanently
Andy Rubin, the co-founder of Android, is running his own company now called Essential. The company launched its first smartphone ever a couple of months ago. The Essential Phone is a high-end device with the specs to match. It wasn’t surprising when it was launched at a flagship-level price. However, the company has now decided to permanently cut the Essential Phone price amid reports that it just hasn’t been selling well.
Essential Customers Hit By Phishing Attack
Android co-founder Andy Rubin’s new smartphone company Essential recently started shipping out its first smartphone. The company actually missed its own release deadline due to certification issues. Customers were made to wait for longer than they expected and now that their units have started shipping, some of them have been hit by a phishing attack. That’s really no fault of the company itself, though.
An Acquired Taste
One of the most important jobs of a founder is to recognize when things aren't going quite right, and make the necessary decisions and take action to correct them before customers are impacted. Founders are often faced with thousands of micro-decisions daily to keep their companies laser-focused on delivering products into the right markets at precisely the right time.
Essential Phone, available now.
When I started Essential, I did so with six core beliefs. Today, as we celebrate the launch of Essential Phone, I want to illustrate how we baked those principles into every facet of the device—and how all the choices we made along the way were done with you in mind. At Essential, we are up against industry giants that employ tens of thousands of workers to develop and deploy smartphones around the world.
Essential To Host A ‘First Look’ Event On August 25th
Essential, Android co-founder Andy Rubin’s new smartphone company, has sent out invitations to a “first look” event which will take place on August 25th. It appears that the nascent smartphone company is inviting a select group of people to come in and play around with the much-awaited handset. The event will be conducted after Essential confirms when it’s finally going to release the Essential Phone. Essential has missed the deadline it imposed on itself for the release of the Essential Phone.
