How I Helped Bill Clinton Write A Letter To Paul Newman After His Car Crash
As a 21-year-old White House intern in the spring of 1996, I was told that the best stories from inside the Beltway – or any stories, actually – could never be told. Then and especially now, I didn’t mind that ominous warning from the Director of the Office of Personnel Security, since most of my stories as a ghostwriter for President Bill Clinton were less dramatic than one might have imagined.

8 times that Bob Uecker transcended baseball
Milwaukee, and all of baseball, lost an icon in the great Bob Uecker. For some, he was a player-turned-announcer. Others may remember only his best calls and being the voice of Brewers baseball for their whole lives. For others still, Uecker was beyond the game. He was a personality in the truest sense of the word, breaking into appearances in movies, television, commercials and more.
Brewers Announcer and MLB legend Bob Uecker has passed away
It's a sad Thursday for Milwaukee and for baseball. Hall of Fame broadcaster and player, as well as the legendary voice of the Milwaukee Brewers, Bob Uecker has passed away at age 90. The Brewers icon began calling games for Milwaukee in 1971, after playing for the Milwaukee Braves in 1962 and 1963, and transcended sports as a television and film star, most notably in the movie "Major League," "Mr. Belvedere," as well as his many appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

One tank getaway: Chicago Northwest
Content created in partnership with Meet Chicago Northwest. For years, the area around Schaumburg has drawn me to Chicago Northwest. There was the shopping (and meatballs) at IKEA, before we had one in Oak Creek, and I’d pick up incredibly priced red peppers and hazelnuts at Valli Produce (now Valli is buying Glorioso’s!). X Again, before we had one here, we’d make a trip or two a year to the Nordstrom at the sprawling Woodfield Mall.

7 reasons why even country haters shouldn't have missed Keith Urban at Summerfest
The Great Milwaukee Summer is HERE! Your guide to what you'll be doing, where you'll be drinking, who you'll be hearing and how you'll be getting a sweet tan this summer is on OnMilwaukee. The Great Milwaukee Summer guide is brought to you by Geis Garage Doors and Peoples State Bank! I don't like country music. I am indeed one of those people who thinks every top 40 country song is about how much the singer loves pick-up trucks, beer and generic B-roll footage of America at sunrise.

The sun doesn't set on The Dandy Warhols
Sitting in the air-conditioned dressing room backstage at the Miller Lite Oasis on Saturday afternoon, I figured I’d ask the obvious question. “How are the Dandy Warhols going to play only an hour-long set in the middle of the afternoon?” I asked keyboardist/bass player Zia McCabe.

New-look Brewers ride winning streak into rainy home opener
It didn’t look like your average Brewers opening day in the parking lots, and in an hour, it won’t look especially familiar on the field, either. I’m not one of those fans who can remember the weather on every opening day – I remember some snowy ones at County Stadium, for sure – but Tuesday’s deluge certainly thinned the tailgating activity at American Family Field. It felt … weird. Also weird: If you’re a casual fan, you might not recognize too many players in the starting lineup.
National liquor companies use Wisconsin as test market for new boozes
As Wisconsin is, by far, the drunkest state in America, it shouldn’t be surprising the beverage companies have turned their glassy eyes toward ways to test-market new concepts in the Badger State. It remains to be seen if what works in Spread Eagle, Wisconsin, also thrives in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, but where else could a brandy enema get a fair shake in 2024? That’s the thinking behind several new alcoholic products in limited circulation from Wausaukee to Pewaukee, from Wautoma to Waukesha.
"Wisconsin Sober": A new recreational drinking trend gains popularity
Statistics show that drinking alcohol is on the decline for many Americans. The reasons for this vary, but increased expense and adverse day-after affects – aka “hangovers” – are the most often cited reasons.

In 2008, however, Schneider was in a horrific car accident that put her filmmaking career on hold.
