I recently sold a designer bag on Carousell. The buyer haggled aggressively, came to my house to inspect the item, and even asked if she could have another item I had listed for free. We completed the sale, exchanged five-star reviews, and I thought that was the end of it.
It wasn't. A day later, I received a notification that she had followed my page. Curious, I clicked on her profile and discovered she had already listed my designer bag for sale – at 50 percent more than what she paid me. I felt cheated. What bothered me was the hard bargaining, the request for freebies, and what felt like an attempt to squeeze every possible peso out of the transaction.
