What are your favourite watch brands? Also, what are your favourite clothing brands?
The watches in the rotation are all IWC's. I'm not "in" to clothes anymore. I'm still in my sleepwear, waiting for my work day to end at 15:30. Then I can work out, shower, and slip into some Wrangler shorts and a t-shirt from Kohl's that probably has some vintage rock band graphic on it. At my snobbiest (some 20 years ago), I wore Luigi Borrelli button downs during the colder months, and RL Purple Label polos in warmer weather. With a Patek Philippe or a Rolex, natch.
Experiences in buying watches through online auctions like Sotheby's?
i've been part of many auction (with me bidding online). There is the buyer premium, shipping and import tax if you are buying from overseas. some watches get relisted several times for not bringing the wanted price, i consider those radioactive and i stay away from them at all times.
Hamilton Ventura owners... comparison request, and picture thread..
The seller website has an 'owner photos' section which they give you £50 discount for if one is approved and used, they added that photo Yes I have a pinball machine in the lounge. Very hard to take photos with this kind of strap because you can't lay the watch flat - this is the best I could do. The other watch is 43mm without crown, the Ventura case is 44mm at the longest point between the outer case corners, vertical line between the date and the crown in the photo.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (231.10.42.21.03.003) Bond Skyfall
Discussion Starter • #1 • 1 mo ago (Edited) Up for sale is an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 41.5mm 231.1042.21.03.003 Bond Skyfall. Full kit and cards MFG Jan 2015, sold Feb 2016, the flip down part of the cardboard where the wooden box sits is about to fall off, but the box and contents are in otherwise excellent shape. (Flip down part came off during picture taking, maybe scotch tape fix?) very few, very faint scratches on a couple links, full link set installed and fits my 8.25” wrist very well.
Excellent transaction with Stoshman!!!
Awesome buyer, will definitely do business with anytime! Tracking number incoming!
SOLD! Omega Seamaster Professional 2065.80
Discussion Starter • #1 • 1 mo ago (Edited) Up for sale is my Omega Seamaster Professional 2065.80 with 1538 quartz movement (almost certain that is the correct number) I believe she is a 1999-2001 model. She has her share of scratches and swirls on the bracelet and bezel but none on the crystal. She has the hidden clasp bracelet and battery change in the last 6 months. The current bracelet is sized for my 8.25” wrist so there are plenty of links for resizing.

My first Seiko diver SKX031 strap/bracelet and movement questions.
I have a Barton on another watch, yeah the quality to price is really good.I think between the tire thread and the original strap, I’m gonna call the strap search done for now.I can’t think of anything else to do but the movement change. Is there a mod where I can change the dial and movement to date only?Parts places only seem to list 007’s and 013’s.I’m still not finding what parts are compatible with the 031.Power reserve was over 30 hours, and I’m not positive she was even full wound since...
Belated thoughts on the Seiko Recraft series
Discussion Starter • #1 • a moment ago I have a few 70’s Seiko’s and have even spent more money than they are worth to keep some of them running. I have only recently (3 months ago) gotten one of the recraft watches. (SNKP27) Unfortunately this is the only one of the recraft models I have been able to see in person. After spending some time with her I have decided that overall I like the watch, and I realize times have changed toward larger watches, but this model is entirely too thick.

Adding a Cyclops at 6:00
Discussion Starter • #1 • 3 mo ago I have a cyclops and I have UV glue.... Has anyone added a cyclops to a watch that doesn't normally have one? Post some pictures! I'll have pics in a day or two when I get around to adding it. I have a 7x5.4mm cyclops, but I may need a smaller one, so that may delay the project. Discussion Starter • #2 • 3 mo ago Nobody loves the cyclops.... Still haven't gotten around to adding one, I'll update when I do.
