Social media has changed the world. It makes news, it breaks news and it is the news.

That would have to be Louis Lane.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I'm an online-only editor, so I rely heavily on mobile devices and social media.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter. There's so much information in one spot, you can stay all day and still not see most of what is there.
Why did you become a journalist?
I came into the profession because I have a love and respect for the history of journalism and what publishers, editors, writers have done.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, I did. I was a reporter and editor.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Not to get stuck in one spot for too long. The world and the world if journalism is always changing - be open to change!
