Characterizing single-shell NODDI-DTI estimates through associations with plasma biomarkers and cognitive performance
Abstract White matter (WM) degeneration is an important feature of aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging derived from diffusion tensor imaging (NODDI-DTI) is a technique that allows the estimation of neurite density index (NDI) and orientation dispersion index (ODI) in WM from single-shell diffusion tensor imaging. However, these estimates are tensor-derived approximations rather than direct compartment-specific measures.
Track‐Weighted Dynamic Functional Connectivity Profiles and Topographic Organization of the Human Pulvinar
While existing investigations have focused either on structural or functional connectivity alone to characterize the regional topography of the human pulvinar, this study is the first to combine structural connectivity information, obtained with tractography, with resting-state fMRI. Pulvinar is involved in several, large-scale dynamic brain networks including distinct cortical and subcortical areas.

Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) denotes a serious type of hemorrhagic stroke that often leads to a poor prognosis and poses a significant socioeconomic burden. Timely assessment of the prognosis of SAH patients is of paramount clinical importance for medical decision making. Currently, clinical prognosis evaluation heavily relies on patients’ clinical information, which suffers from limited accuracy. Non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) is the primary diagnostic tool for SAH.
The Impact of Non-Motor Symptoms on Quality of Life in Cervical Dystonia
Abstract : Cervical dystonia (CD) is characterized by cranial muscle overactivity leading to abnormal intermittent or continuous posturing of the head. Nowadays, the treatment of patients suffering from this condition focuses principally on the motor component of the disorder, certainly the invaliding part; however, it leaves out the non-motor one that has a similarly invalidated effect on the quality of the subject’s life.

Body Image and Emotional Status in Patients with Acquired Brain Injury
4. Discussion Body image implies a visual representation of the body through our graphic depiction of ourselves. This representation results from the integration of multisensory neural inputs [32]. In the clinical setting, body image disorders are relatively common and involve both psychiatric and neurological disorders. We aimed to describe the relationship between body perception and emotional disorders within a sample of brain-damaged patients.
Gender and Neurosteroids: Implications for Brain Function, Neuroplasticity and Rehabilitation
1. Introduction Neurosteroids (NSs) were named in 1981 [1] and identified as steroids that are synthesized de novo in the nervous system, such as in the hippocampus and other brain structures, and are accumulated in the nervous system autonomously from the steroidogenic endocrine glands. Neurosteroids have been implicated in several neurological mechanisms, such as epileptogenesis, hepatic encephalopathy, neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, and psychiatric disorders.

Innovative Technologies in the Neurorehabilitation of Traumatic Brain Injury: A Systematic Review
Abstract : Motor and cognitive rehabilitation in individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a growing field of clinical and research interest. In fact, novel rehabilitative approaches allow a very early verticalization and gait training through robotic devices and other innovative tools boosting neuroplasticity, thanks to the high-intensity, repetitive and task-oriented training.
