Improving Semantic Segmentation Performance in Underwater Images
1. Introduction Semantic segmentation is an important task for the various fields of robotics, which often relies on visual data from cameras. Nowadays, it is often used in robots during underwater exploration, especially for autonomous navigation when the robot needs to recognise the elements it encounters during the mission; for example, to avoid collisions.
Feature-Based Place Recognition Using Forward-Looking Sonar
1. Introduction Harbour facilities include various structures such as quay walls and adjacent piles that need to be inspected for corrosion and damage. The inspection of these structures is normally carried out by divers and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). However, this work is dangerous and ROVs use a cable that can restrict and complicate work in these semi-structured environments. Therefore, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) have been used for these tasks.

Labelled Indoor Point Cloud Dataset for BIM Related Applications
1. Summary With the development of building information modelling (BIM) and reality capture technologies, such as laser scanning and Photogrammetry in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) domain, activities such as construction progress monitoring, quality control, or even full 3D model reconstruction, are becoming increasingly automated [1].
