Anita Snow’s Biography

Anita is a veteran journalist with extensive experience in Latin America, now based in the US Southwest with a general assignment beat covering national stories on topics including urban affairs, immigration and drug trafficking. She has been a foreign correspondent, news editor and staffer on a regional editing desk in Mexico City, a bureau chief in Havana and a foreign desk editor and UN correspondent in New York. She started her career in the 1980s as a metro reporter covering immigration and Hispanic affairs at The Orange County Register in Santa Ana, Calif. She has a master's degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from NYU and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College in Baltimore. She was a 2009-10 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and attended the U.S. Army War College National Security Seminar in 2011.
