Anja Krieger’s Biography

I create, host and produce the Plastisphere Podcast on plastic, people and the planet. For radio, audio, online and print media, I report on the environment, science, and technology, as an independent producer.

In 2015-2016, I was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I hold a German Diploma in Cultural Sciences from the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), and have studied two semesters abroad in Salamanca, Spain, and Berkeley, California.

My reports have appeared on German national public radio Deutschlandfunk, in print newspapers like DIE ZEIT and taz, as well as English media such as Nature, PRI The World, Ensia, Vox News, and Climate Home.
