Trans-ethnic estimation and implications of genetic impact on continuous glycemic profiles
Abstract The genetic architecture of glycemic dynamic metrics derived from continuous-glucose monitoring (CGM) across different populations remains poorly understood.
Age-(in)dependent altered molecular mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease through extracellular vesicle proteome and lipidome
Keywords Parkinson’s disease extracellular vesicles proteomics and lipidomics early and distinct detection machine-learning-based diagnosis Introduction Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the fastest-growing neurodegenerative disorder globally,1,2 driven largely by an aging population and lacking both curative treatment and reliable early diagnostic strategies.3,4,5 To address these challenges, recent research has focused on discovering reliable and specific biomarkers for early PD diagnosis, aiming...

Interplay of White Matter Hyperintensities, Cerebral Networks, and Cognitive Function in an Adult Population: Diffusion-Tensor Imaging in the Maastricht Study | Radiology
Abstract White matter hyperintensity volume, local efficiency, and information processing speed scores are interrelated, and local network alterations as response to white matter abnormality explain detriments in cognition. Background Lesions of cerebral small vessel disease, such as white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) in individuals with cardiometabolic risk factors, interfere with the trajectories of the white matter and eventually contribute to cognitive decline.
Intake of milk and other dairy products and the risk of bladder cancer: a pooled analysis of 13 cohort studies
Abstract Background Inconsistent associations between milk and other dairy product consumption and bladder cancer (BC) have been reported. We aimed to investigate possible associations with BC risk for total and individual dairy products by bringing together the world’s data on this topic. Methods Thirteen cohort studies, included in the BLadder cancer Epidemiology and Nutritional Determinants (BLEND) study, provided data for 3590 BC cases and 593,637 non-cases.
