Why did you become a journalist?
Because I felt that there was a need for people of my generation to step up and take accountability while also making sure we are heard.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
As a matter of fact I did, it was called 'Excelsior' after our motto. I was a member of the editorial board and was in-charge of interviews.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read. It is that simple. Be the best read person in the room. Always be curious, Go after the "Why"
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime.
What's your favorite drink?
A hot americano with a shot of hazelnut.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
A badminton or squash court
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
So many. Very good outlets on foreign affairs on the web. It is vital to read to learn.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it is very niche and does not take into account the problems on ground.
