"I was very sad to hear of Ann’s passing," Michael Riccio, chairman of the Southington Town Council, said Thursday. "Her leadership in local and state politics helped to get Southington to where we are today. The town is forever indebted to her for what she did for us." During her 16 years as the state representative from the 30th House District — representing Southington and Berlin — Dandrow earned a reputation for championing legislation for the handicapped, the elderly and newborns.
