Jack Mannix 'Abalone Shell' Opens at Pass~Port Gallery
A few hours before I met Jack Mannix outside Pass~Port Gallery, he had rescued a dying pigeon from the street. He nursed it across the city and delivered it to a woman he found on Marketplace who rehabilitates birds. Later, she texted him: “I wish more people were as kind as you,” which felt strangely emblematic, since his images move through subculture, sex, mysticism, adventure and emotional ruin with an unusual degree of tenderness.
Above the Influence: Nike is for the yuth
The 26th of March marks Nike Air Max Day, an annual celebration that recognises the legacy of Nike’s Air Max technology and commemorates the 1987 release of the Air Max 1, the first sneaker to feature visible Air cushioning. Sarah Burton Unbuttons Givenchy
Set within Paris’s storied Hôtel des Invalides, Sarah Burton’s second Givenchy collection was a study in feminine power. As one of the few women leading a historic fashion house, her perspective on how women dress felt vital. The collection explored this through nuanced archetypes, with fabrics that whispered and silhouettes that suggested rather than imposed.
Sandy Liang Plays Polly Pocket
0 $0.00 0 items ‘Falling Through the Looking Glass’ would have been an appropriate title for Sandy Liang’s show this season. Liang often leans on nostalgia for her creative process, and this season was no exception, drawing inspiration from Fifth Avenue heiress Huguette Clark. Both Liang and Clark share a mutual love for toys, especially dollhouses. There was a natural affinity with Polly Pocket throughout, with frilly printed prairie dresses and silk mini skirts all lovely and dainty.
Selected Objects Knows How to Stay Curious
Selected Objects is a growing archive of vintage and rare books, shaped by the personal collection and collaborative practice of Rhiannon Yarrow and Dean Podmore. What began with cross-country bookstore pilgrimages and late-night doorstep exchanges in New York City has evolved into a shared space for discovery, conversatio, and connection—driven by a love of printed matter and a desire to make hard-to-find titles more accessible.
For Marina Monaco, the Lens is a Dreamscape
The past will always hold a certain pull on us. Filled with fleeting moments and fragile relics of ephemera, we reach and grovel for what has slipped past us. These are the thoughts that flow through Marina Monaco’s mind as she captures, distils and replicates the world around her. Through her youthful photographs and films, she is not only able to reflect on culture but also imitate the growing pains associated with the turbulent transition into adulthood.
Elaine Constantine Makes Niche Work
I can’t exactly recall when I first encountered Elaine Constantine’s photographs. I don’t even remember what initially drew me to her work. She really drew me in, though. The young women in her photographs really drew me in. It was their jubilant smiles, combed hair and exaggerated expressions. The way they arranged themselves in a jagged line, so one would always appear slightly taller than the other. It was how they pouted or purred at the camera, showing their real expressions, real selves.

Who Gets to Be Heard in the Arts? — HURS
By Anna Prudhomme The art world has long been dominated by a narrow, homogenous narrative. Charlotte Burns, an independent journalist, and Julia Halperin, a former Artnet News editor, launched a report to examine the representation of African American and female artists, revealing persistent inequalities and slow progress in combating racism and sexism in both U.S. museums and the global art market.

Beneath Thibaut Grevet's Blurry Lines
Words Anna Prudhomme Photography THIBAUT GREVET I have vivid memories of my mum reading fashion magazines while in the bath. I could feel the photographers’ meticulous intentions and boundless creativity.
