What was your first job as a journalist?
My first official job as a journalist was writing and later editing for the school newspaper in undergraduate school.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My current responsibilities include using tools to edit digital images, communicate with large teams, and submit formatted writing.
Why did you become a journalist?
I knew very early on that I wanted to be a gaming journalist so that I could unite my professional career with my favorite hobby.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
During my first year in professional gaming journalism, I was given the opportunity to interview a developer of my favorite game.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misconception I've heard about journalism as a whole is that you have to move to "the big city," which has been untrue for me.
