Strawberry Gold by
Sci-fi author Gerrib (One of Our Spaceships Is Missing) delivers a solid suspense debut. In 1986, high school senior Pat Kowalski is working on an oral history of Eastville, Ill., for his final project. He spends his birthday at his great-grandmother Barb’s nursing home in hopes that she might offer up useful stories, but he’s unsure how seriously to take her claims that, in 1896, a stranger with gold coins and a gun in his pockets dropped dead outside her Eastville home.
Clown Town by Mick Herron
Herron’s preternatural talents for satire and spycraft are on full display in his latest Slow Horses novel (after Bad Actors). The crimes of a murderous informant who worked with British intelligence in Northern Ireland during the Troubles move a trio of former spies to seek recompense by blackmailing Diana Taverner, First Desk at the Regent’s Park headquarters of MI5. Rather than swatting the trio aside, Diana seizes the opportunity to shift blame for their findings onto some of her many rivals.
The Girl with Ice in Her Veins: A Lisbeth Salander Novel
Smirnoff’s second Millennium novel (after The Girl in the Eagle’s Talons) is a treat for longtime series fans. Several months after the events of the previous book, Lisbeth Salander’s 13-year-old niece Svala Hirak is interning at the newspaper Gaskassen. She’s also part of an environmental activist group, whose newest member, Simon Frisk, is an advocate for extreme—sometimes violent—protest.
Old Money by Kelsey Miller
Miller spotlights the dark side of excessive wealth in her beguiling debut. When Alice Wiley was 11, her 16-year-old cousin Caitlin Dale died tragically during the Fourth of July weekend. Like all other privileged children in Briar’s Green, N.Y., Caitlin had been celebrating at the exclusive Horseman Club. Official reports said she slipped by the pool and drowned, but Alice knows it was murder, and she knows who did it.
The Infernus Gate
Ryan doesn’t pull any punches in the wholly satisfying conclusion to the Seven Swords series (following The Road of Storms). Guyime, now known as the Ravager King for all the blood on his hands, leads a motley fellowship, which includes a druid, a scholar, and a beastmaster.

Can’t Wait Wednesday: A Tide of Black Steel by Anthony Ryan
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to share upcoming book releases that we’re excited about! This meme is based on Waiting on Wednesday, which was created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. I’m always excited for a new series from Anthony Ryan and I’m made doubly so because I’ve heard that this is set in the same world as the Covenant of Steel series.

Review | NetGalley
Review by *Thanks to NetGalley and Orbit Books for an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.* I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book by Anthony Ryan that I've read and I am definitely adding more of his books to my list. I thought the setting and medieval vibe was fresh and not something I have seen too often before. The character in this book were so good and I feel that Ryan really worked hard to develop details and a story arc for each one.
