Anthony Bronaugh

Anthony Bronaugh is a dedicated educator who has successfully brought Sherman Elementary School in Toledo from its F ranking up a grade. He did this through building school pride among its students, fostering partnerships with Boys and Girls Clubs that met in the building after school, and building parent engagement. He also implemented social-emotional learning, which repeatedly models expected behavior and is designed to improve students' interactions with staff and other students. In his work at Robinson Elementary, he took a holistic approach, bringing in the community, staff, parents, and kids, and providing resources for parents. At both schools, he instilled in students the importance of preparing for standardized tests and taking them seriously.
