Antti Virtanen’s Biography
I've been working in the online casino industry since 2012 and have been Editor-in-Chief here at Kasinohai since we launched in 2015. Over that time I've personally tested and reviewed hundreds of casinos, written more than 40 in-depth guides, and spent more hours than I'd like to admit reading Finnish gambling legislation.
I studied Digital Marketing and Analytics at the University of Eastern Finland, and in 2023 I completed my Certified Gaming Compliance Specialist (CGCS) certification - which is basically a formal way of saying I really do know my licensing regulations. I follow Nordic gambling markets closely and try to get to SBC, EGR and SiGMA each year to stay on top of where the industry is heading.
Tax-free casinos are something I feel strongly about. Finnish players are entitled to keep their winnings tax-free when they play at the right casinos - but only if they know what to look for. Getting that information right is something I take seriously, which is why I review every licensing claim on this page myself.
When I'm not deep in licensing regulations, you'll probably find me outdoors. I got married recently - still getting used to saying "my wife" - and we have a dog who has strong opinions about how long my morning walks should be. Somewhere between the dog walks and the wedding planning I also try to squeeze in football and the occasional round of golf, usually with mixed results.
