What was your first job as a journalist?

Freelance

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to be pitched through email and I like ideas that are specific, straight to the point and have valuable meaning.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premier Pro and Photo Mechanic.

Why did you become a journalist?

For my love to tell stories, educate, raise awareness and work with amazing people.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Just go for it, be proud of your work and don't let anybody step in your way.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

If I am not on the picture desk, I am out on the ground doing photo and video,

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I am always out on the ground doing work but in reality, that's only half of my job. I also work on the picture desk.
