Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, though it's been awhile. I'd love to bring one in the newsroom to write a story and see how folks would respond.

#AskRachel, which was born out of the controversy over ex-Spokane NAACP president Rachel Dolezal.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. It's such a fascinating tool to see how people from different walks of life interact, for better or worse and share what's happening

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Always look for more opportunities to learn your craft and don't be afraid to try new things, even if it takes you down a different path.
