What was your first job as a journalist?
Reading news copies of others who have been working from before me.

Nope.
How is social media changing news?
Fake news is being filtered out better. People are focusing more on depth. Depth separates fake from real.

Myself, in another universe.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
A journalist is a witness with a pen, turning the world’s noise into meaning.
They carry other people’s truths in their heart and give them a voice.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email. Or text messages. Definitely no calling before the pitch is accepted.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Adobe Premier Pro, Google AI Suite.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to make my name in the world for the right reasons. What can be a better way to do that than spreading relevant information that the world must know.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did. However, I was mostly a part of the design department.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am proud of every story I work on, whether it gets views or not.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't rush to get into a big company. Trust the process. The offer will arrive when the time is right.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Post midnight.

None. I have generally received good pitches. Depending on company policy, I either reject or accept the pitches.
What's your favorite drink?
Monster Original.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In front of the camera, or in the PCR, interviewing guests.

The Athletic by David Ornstein.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The pressure is unmanageable. No. It isn't. If you love the job and know the nuances, managing is just fine.
