Why did you become a journalist?
Because it involves making sense out of seemingly senseless things.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't. But I did write for my middle school newspaper. In college, I served as the editor in chief.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Consider becoming a blogger/influencer instead. The money's better.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Whenever.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
It was several pitches via email. In each, the PR agency introduced it with "Hi Adam!"
What's your favorite drink?
Unsweetened green ice tea.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Hiking up in the Catskills, or in the Shawangunk Mountains in New York State.
