Hello! My name is Ashley Orcutt and I am a journalist for Social Catfish. My love of writing started in elementary school when I strived to be the next Hannah Montana with the songs I wrote. Then in middle school, I started writing a book series that I am currently editing to this day. In high school, I started my high school's creative writing club and got into writing poetry and short stories. Then in college, I decided to major in human communication with an emphasis in journalism at California State University, Monterey Bay. That's where I became the editor in chief for "The Lutrinae", CSUMB's newspaper. After college, I eventually got a job for Social Catfish writing romance scam articles and articles relating to helping people stay safe and secure on the internet. This has inspired me to get a Master's at the University of Las Vegas online in Educational Psychology, because with my current position at Social Catfish, my new passion became helping people. In the future, I plan on continuing to write articles as well as starting up a virtual therapy website that provides cheap care to those without health insurance.
