Exploring Registered Nurses' Experiences of Workplace Adversity: A Descriptive Qualitative Study
1 Introduction Nurses are essential to the healthcare system, providing quality patient care that contributes to overall patient well-being. Compassion Fatigue Among Australian Oncology Nurses Caring for Adult Cancer Patients: Antecedents, Impact and Mediators
This study explored Australian oncology nurses' experiences of compassion fatigue and identified ways in which nurses can mitigate compassion fatigue. Oncology nurses with compassion fatigue report a decreased capacity to provide person-centred care and reduced engagement in additional work-related activities. Early career researchers: Will they perish before they publish?
INTRODUCTION The sustainability of Early Career Researchers (ECRs) is under threat. COVID-19 has affected and impacted the higher education teaching and research worlds. According to Baker,1 ECRs have faced a “cliff edge” regarding funding in addition to the other vital aspects of research such as data collection. Inevitably, this has a disproportionate effect on ECRs compared with established academics as they are trying to get beyond the first fragile rung of the academic career ladder.
