August Barham

August recently graduated from American University with a B.A. in journalism and cinema studies. She has an extensive background in writing and a passion for film. In high school, August attended The School of The New York Times Summer Academy, competed on the FBLA team in business communications and took multiple journalism and advanced writing courses. At AU, August has reported on a variety of feature and hard news stories including D.C. city hall meetings, immigration, film industry trends and more. Her reporting and creative writing has been featured in Her Campus, the AU literary magazine AmLit, the D.C. literary magazine The Gargoyle and Identity Theory magazine. She has interned with PBS’ To The Contrary and the U.S. Trustee Program in the Department of Justice.
