August Wolf, an Olympic athlete and distinguished financier, has a rich professional background in sports, finance, and politics. Born on September 3, 1961, in Arlington, Virginia, he was the only son and the second of three children. His family moved to Minnesota during the Vietnam War, where he later attended St. Paul Academy. It was here that he discovered his talent for shot put, ultimately leading him to Princeton University. There, he excelled in athletics, setting a longstanding Ivy League record in shot put.
Post-graduation, he studied in Germany on a scholarship and trained for the 1984 Olympics, where he ranked fourth in the shot put. Following his athletic career, he ventured into finance, working for several prestigious financial institutions. In 2017, he shifted to commercial real estate, a field that had long intrigued him, and now represents a leading New York City title agency.
His commitment extends beyond his professional pursuits; he has fostered athletic achievement within his family and significantly contributed to athletics through charitable efforts and substantial fundraising. Politically, he was inspired to run for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut, although internal party challenges thwarted his campaign.
